On February 7, 2024, Global Relay hosted the Financial Conduct Authority’s Jamie Bell at our Conduct, culture, and compliance: A fireside chat with the FCA event. On the day, we were also joined by Georgia Denning, Senior Manager Market Abuse Surveillance, PwC, Paul Clulow-Phillips, Managing Director, Global Head of Regulatory Surveillance, Société Générale, and Dr Sian Lewin, Expert in Regulation, Risk, and RegTech, for a panel discussion exploring what the findings of our Data Insights: Compliant Communications report can tell us about communications capture. Held at our London offices as part of our Conduct, Culture, and Compliance event, the panel was hosted by Jennie Clarke, Head of Content, Global Relay.

Watch as the panel discusses:

  • Whether social media presents the next area of compliance risk, and how firms are navigating it through capture and surveillance strategies
  • If 2024 will prove to be “the year of voice”, and if a risk-based approach to voice capture will be enough to ensure compliance
  • The challenges of the evolving communications capture landscape, including getting employee buy-in, senior staff using off-channel comms, and the rise of individual accountability
