Alfred Scholldorf, is Senior Systems Architect at Global Relay. Fred joined the company in 2009 bringing his many years of experience in building collaboration systems, financial services, and trading systems to Global Relay and its customers.
With Fred’s guidance, teams at Global Relay have built a number of critical platforms and services to make it easy for customers to collaborate in real-time, securely, and with all the necessary compliance features required of today’s financial, health care, and regulated systems. Services used in the collaboration stack include directory synchronization, service administration, identity and account management, contact management, instant messaging, text messaging via SMS and MMS, file sharing, voice and video conferencing.
Previous to Global Relay Fred gained more than 20 years of experience in software and systems design and architecture in the global financial systems powerhouse Thomson-Reuters.
Throughout his career, Fred has been committed to building global-scale, high performance systems using the latest technology and with creative designs. He has mentored many people in the art and science of performance analysis, combining a rigorous scientific software design approach with practical cost-effective benchmarking and measurement. Fred is convinced this blended approach is essential to building system architectures that withstand the test of time.
Dr. Fred Scholldorf has a Ph.D. in Physics from Stony Brook University and a B.S. in Physics and Math from Clarkson University.
