Our hiring process
Looking for the right job is stressful enough. We’re open about how we hire, so there are no surprises—here’s what to expect at each stage.
Early-stage interviews usually happen remotely by video call. Final-stage interviews may be held in one of our offices.
A recruiter will reach out for a brief chat about your background and interests, and to check the role fits your career goals. If it feels like a mutual fit, we’ll set up an interview with the hiring manager. Typically takes 5-20 minutes.
You’ll meet the hiring manager to talk through your experience, how you like to work, and how you’d fit within the team. It’s your chance to ask questions and get a fuller picture of the role. Come ready to share your story and be yourself—authenticity matters to us. Typically takes 30-45 minutes.
Before this stage, you’ll complete a take-home assignment. In the interview, 2 to 4 Global Relay employees who know your field will talk through that assignment with you. They’ll explore your technical skills and ask how you’d handle real-world scenarios you’d meet in the role. Typically takes 45-60 minutes.
For the final stage, you’ll meet one or two members of our HR team to talk through work style, benefits, growth opportunities, and what it’s really like to work here. Ask us anything that matters to you—the culture, the team, your career path, and more. Typically takes 30-45 minutes.
