Message Archiver Origins

Email Platform Agnostic

Our archiving and monitoring systems import messages in real-time from single or multiple email server environments including Exchange (2003, 2000, 5.5 enterprise & standard), Lotus Notes, Mac, GroupWise, Exim, Postfix, Qmail, SendMail or Unix/Linux servers, amongst others. We also work with many Hosted Exchange and Lotus providers, in addition to offering Global Relay's synchronized POP/IMAP/webmail system. The Message Archiver seamlessly integrates with all front-end mail applications including Outlook, Outlook Express, Apple, Thunderbird and Eudora.

Implementation & Customization

Unification of Messages

The Message Archiver enables total data unification with email importing in real-time from all Microsoft, Unix, Notes, POP and Groupwise systems. Global Relay's Legacy Importer imports old and existing email from any media type including CD/DVD/Tape and all common file formats including .pst, .eml, .mdir, .mbox to the Message Archiver. This enables all messages to be consolidated in a central repository and retrievable instantly from a single online source. Beyond email, the Message Archiver can capture Bloomberg messages, Reuter IM, Blackberry, Goodlink, and all IM chat sessions from AOL, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo, including voicemail from number PBX and VOIP phone systems. Global Relay is constantly expanding the electronic messaging channels it is able to securely capture.

Search Engine

Our message archive systems are able to index terabytes of data with no performance issues. Unlike most archiving and monitoring systems which are based solely on database technology, Global Relay's systems are based on a hybrid model where metadata is written to databases and scanned text is indexed to Google-like search engines.This enables every user, via a secure Internet web-browser, to find any current or historical messages less than three seconds and often under one second, and even if the original has been deleted. This translates into unsurpassed productivitywhile conducting search, retrievaland monitoring activities, regardless of source or company size.

LDAP

Global Relay uses multi-master Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) network servers to replicate, query and modify our Global Directory system running over TCP/IP using DNS names as its base.

Global Relay has 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of its systems from our redundant Network Operations Centers (NOCs). Global Relay's team of dedicated professionals monitor the security of the systems around the clock, using mirrored active/active firewalls to ensure the security of data in the event of a failure, and mirrored active/active load balancers to ensure high system availability. The System Administrators continuously upgrade the SUN operating systems and related technology to ensure performance at the highest level.
