Global Relay's General Counsel, Shannon Rogers, recognized as "Top 40 Lawyer Under 40"

Before leaving private practice to join Global Relay, Shannon practiced business and securities law at two national law firms, McCarthy Tetrault in Toronto, and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Vancouver. Shannon received her common law (LLB) and civil law (BCL) degrees from McGill University.

How does an in-house lawyer of a Vancouver tech company get named as one of the 'Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers' in Canada? Lexpert Magazine explains that the 'Top 40 Under 40' were determined following an extensive assessment process of nominees across Canada from both law firms and corporate counsel. The Chairs and Managing Partners from some of the largest and most influential firms and corporations in the country were asked to weigh in on the 85 finalists. The panelists were asked to rank their top 10 picks, excluding finalists from their own firm, to determine the Top 40 (see below for a full list of Advisory Board panelists). The 'Top 40 Under 40' were honored at the Lexpert's Rising Stars of 2006 event with the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, ex-Prime Minister of Canada, as the Special Keynote Speaker.
