Job Description / Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in Specifications Review, Test Planning, Creation and Execution of Test Cases, Defect Reporting, and Defect Verification
• Responsible for identifying and raising risks as early as possible in an Agile environment
• Produce project documentation for internal and external use (eg. FAQs, Setup documention, Test Plans, Test Cases, Release Notes, etc.)
• Involved in Automation of Test Cases for an IM client-server system
• Assist other QA team members and Developers in setup and configuration of the test environment
• Responsible for working on a suite of related products
• Collaborate with other departments during the investigation and reproduction of defects that impact our customers
• Low level analysis of complicated systems with many points of integration where you may be exposed to the code base
• Performance, Load, Capacity, Security and Stress tests for a mission critical high-availability system
• Provide suggestions and take on extra responsibilities as the team grows

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing responsibilities and requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A good understanding of Agile concepts and experience with their application within the QA world
• Able to work independently and in a team setting
• Experienced in Functional Test Case Automation
• Must be flexible in terms of working hours
• General understanding of domains and networking principles
• Has the know-how to generate supporting documentation for a project that allows other members of the team to participate in testing during peaks of the Development Life Cycle
• Has a proven history of previous successes in a setting where minimal direction was provided

Desirable:

• Prior exposure to Wireshark or another network analyzer
• Previous experience with TestLog Test Case Management Software
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence WIKI
• Experience with Continuous Build Integration using tools similar to Bamboo
• Load, Stress, Performance, Security and Capacity Test Automation experience
• Basic understanding of XMPP protocol
• Comfortable working on Linux, Solaris, Mac, and Windows Platforms
• Previous SQL experience
• Acquaintance with Rules Engine testing
• Experience with coding test scripts for test automation tools similar to Test Complete
• Understanding of Ethical Walls and their business applications
• Fluency in multiple languages is an asset
